Daniel’s Story

Daniel discovered the Humbled Trader Community after connecting with Shay on Reddit. Through his time here, he has learned to focus his energy on a single setup as a means of developing more trading consistency.

What made you choose Humbled Trader over the other day trading platforms out there?

HT had helped me previously (on reddit) when she had nothing to gain from doing so, other than to promote her (brand new at the time) youtube channel. That attitude fostered a sense of trust. I’ve been a part of many chat rooms/services and I’ve learned that the ‘guru culture’ is full of lies and deceit, HT seemed like someone I can trust.

What has your experience been interacting with our various coaches?

Mostly (largely) positive with an exception or two. I have a lot of questions and typically get positive feedback from most of the coaches. Luis has gone above and beyond to help – he clearly has a passion for teaching/mentoring.

What is the community experience like?

The community seems healthy, although I keep chat mostly off so I can focus on listening to my instincts and avoid being swayed by others. Otherwise, I have always gotten the help I need/request. Especially from Shay and Luis, I know I can rely on them to take the time necessary to help me work through any confusion.

What tangible skills have you acquired as a result of joining the Humbled Trader community?

The most important thing I’ve learned in my time here is to focus my energy on a single setup. That has been the most valuable lesson I’ve ever learned. It has directly resulted in trading consistency. I do not copy the setups exactly as they are taught but the one-on-one help I’ve received from Shay and Luis has helped me to adjust the lessons for my personality and trade style. I would not be a consistent trader if not for the HT help I’ve received, in conjunction with my own hard work and relentless effort.
